Zidane was keen on adding Mane to his squad towards the end of last season, though his decision to resign at the end of the campaign ended Real’s talks over the player.Since the Frenchman’s reappointment as manager, however, Mane has again been linked with a move to the Bernabeu – especially as the 26-year-old is currently enjoying a truly superb period of form. He has scored 11 goals since the turn of the year, with seven strikes in his past five matches – including world class finishes against Watford in the Premier League and Bayern Munich in the Champions League.Real are expected to spend heavily this summer following Zidane’s return to the dug out, and renewed interest in Mane was logical.3
